Coffee for Good: Empowering the Communities Behind the Brew

at Glasgow Coffee Festival
in collaboration with the Slow Food Coffee Coalition, supported by the Negroni Fund
11–12 May 2024

At the 2024 Glasgow Coffee Festival, we presented a session highlighting the work of the Coffee Coalition. This collaborative project unites farmers, producers, roasters, consumers, and organisations in building a coffee industry rooted in fairness, sustainability, and community empowerment.

Speakers Silvia and Carlotta, and chaired by Gavin, shared insights into how agroforestry and regenerative practices can create positive environmental and social impact.  The discussion explored how farmers, roasters, producers and consumers can collaborate for a fairer coffee system. Attendees experienced coffees cultivated through agroforestry and regenerative practices, with beans from Peru, Cuba and Mexico.

The event was made possible thanks to the Negroni Fund and Slow Food International.
